As a company Soccer Destinations can offer top tourism and travel expertise to complement its programme of quality tournaments. We are glad to help you plan your trip and to suggest the attractions and places you may wish to build into your itinerary. Road Travel : The tournaments are Shrewsbury, Edinburgh, Ayr and Stirling are all convenient to the national motorway network. We arrange motor coach transfers from airports, ferry ports and main rail stations. For those requiring a motor coach for all or part of their stay we will identify a suitable operator to meet your spec. National Express and Scotland’s City Link provide frequent, regular and economical services to our tournament locations. Teams from Europe, including Eastern Europe, use associated scheduled coach services to come to Britain. Rail Services serve all our locations and provide fast and comfortable travel. We can advise on the most economical tickets to purchase and we can buy them for you for an additional service fee. Many UK airports (Gatwick, Stansted, Heathrow, Birmingham, Southampton, Prestwick and Manchester) have their own railway station. Airports are convenient to our venues and increasingly visiting teams are avoiding busy Gatwick and Heathrow and using regional airports which have international connections, including trans-Atlantic and other long haul services. Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Prestwick and Edinburgh have ever-developing networks, including many of the budget airlines. Ferry ports are important to visitors from Northern Ireland, The Republic of Ireland, Scandinavia and the cross-channel ports in Holland, Belgium, France and Northern Spain. We offer coach transfers (or advise on railway transfers) from Aberdeen, Newcastle, Hull, Harwich, Dover, Portsmouth, Southampton, Weymouth, Poole, Plymouth, Swansea, Holyhead, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Stranraer, Cairnryan, Troon, Oban and Ullapool. Galway in Ireland is one of our tournament locations. It has its own airport with regular flights from UK regional airports and Dublin which offers transfers from all countries. Other such flights use Knock Airport (an hour away). Shannon Airport is just over one hour south of Galway and is a major gateway for Trans-Atlantic, continental and UK flights. We arrange the motor coach transfers. Continental teams may use ferries to Rosslare Harbour and it is possible to transfer via Dublin by train to Galway. UK teams usually use the sea routes from Holyhead or Liverpool and transfer to Galway by motor coach or train. Group fares by train are very economical. As with rail tickets, we can book and provide ferry tickets. For air travel the arrangements are different and separate transactions are required for the tournament and air travel, but it is possible through our associated travel agent. These can include Trans-Atlantic travel to the UK and Ireland – ask for a quotation without obligation. We can make your travel simple whether we just advise you or arrange all or part of your needs. email: soccerdests@btconnect.com Telephone: 01686 627100 (++44 1686 627100) Soccer Destinations Margaret Hughes OR ring 01686 668276 (++44 1686 668276) |
